## Manual Machinist - 2nd ShiftApply: Harahan, LA: Full time: Posted Today: R3942**Overview & Responsibilities****Overview:**To perform complex setups, select tooling and required equipment for machining of parts to required specifications. Developed skills and experience to plan and oversee repairs with very minimal supervision or feedback. Advanced skills to work to any critical tolerance required for the job. Helps to direct and train other employees in the functions and processes of machine operations. Ability to complete work in a safe and timely manner to meet customer needs.The below reflects general details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job identified and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all of the work requirements that may be inherent in the job.**Responsibilities:*** Promotes safety and quality at all times.* Positive attitude and display of leadership.* Maintain a clean and organized work area.* Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.* Conducts him or herself in a professional manner at all times when working with internal and external customers.* Advanced knowledge of machine equipment and machining operations of various machines, including but not limited to: horizontal and vertical lathes, layout machines, vertical boring mills, horizontal mills, grinders, deburring tools, fixtures, radial and angular drill press, forklifts, cranes and various forms of rigging, jib hoists, personal computers, and other required tools necessary to perform the job.* Advanced knowledge and accuracy in using various measuring devices: micrometers, indicators, calipers, gauges, and other required tools necessary to perform the job.* Full understanding of use for tooling, drawings, work scopes, procedures, specifications and documentation to perform the primary function of the job.* Performs complex setups and performs unusual machine tool operations.
