Overview:
To perform complex setups and machine a variety of components on various machine tools. Must work safely and efficiently to meet customer needs, with the ability to work within extremely close tolerances. Capable of laying out and planning machining operations from prints, sketches, or verbal instructions with limited supervision.

Responsibilities:

1. Promote safety and quality at all times.
2. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
3. Conduct oneself professionally when interacting with internal and external customers.
4. Operate and have advanced knowledge of various machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and others, as well as rigging and material handling equipment.
5. Use measuring devices accurately such as micrometers, gauges, and indicators.
6. Understand and utilize tooling, drawings, work scopes, and documentation.
7. Perform complex machine setups and operations, including turning, milling, drilling, grinding, and more.
8. Work within tight tolerances and interpret technical drawings and verbal instructions.
9. Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment and document maintenance activities.
10. Accurately measure and record dimensions, passing annual inspection tests.
11. Complete layouts of parts and train others in machine operation and reading prints.
12. Document shift activities and irregularities, ensuring continuity.
13. Take ownership of work quality and stay updated on skills and knowledge.
