General Summary

Primary duties include safely operating various machining tools such as lathes, mills, presses, grinders, saws, drills, boring tools, welders, broaches, and metal spray units to repair or create parts from drawings and specifications. Use measuring devices like micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges to ensure correct sizing. Record all necessary data. Work may be performed both in-shop and at customer locations, with overtime as needed.

Job Functions
  • Operate machining equipment including lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, presses, welders, saws, balancing equipment, and more.
  • Read blueprints and drawings accurately.
  • Use measuring devices to record sizes and calibrate tools.
  • Perform machining tasks such as turning, milling, threading, boring, welding, and balancing.
  • Operate equipment safely and support company goals.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training or experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform essential functions with or without accommodations.
Physical Demands

Must sit, stand, see, hear, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 75 pounds. Work involves near moving parts and requires good vision, including color and distance vision. Noise level is moderate to high.
