Sulzer is seeking a Manual Machinist in Salt Lake City to set up and operate a range of machine tools, interpret drawings, and produce precision components to tight tolerances. You will work with lathes, grinders, planers and mills, training others and helping improve methods to reduce costs.
The role requires completion of a machinist apprenticeship or equivalent, four years in a shop, and a willingness to overtime as needed. Great benefits include 401k and PTO.

As a Manual Machinist you will be responsible for setting up and operating machine tools, including HBM, VBM, lathes, milling machines, ID/OD grinders, planers, and bore parts to manufacture and recondition component parts to customer, OEM and industry standards. You will interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and sketches and perform precision metal cutting, grinding, shaping and fitting. You will measure components, parts, and raw materials with precision measuring instruments, gauges, and tools.
