Job description

The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring for a long-term position in the Pasadena, Texas area:

MANUAL MACHINIST

Successful candidates will have a minimum of five (5) years of continuous and current experience as a Manual Machinist in a petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment. The pay range for this position is $25-$35 an hour, depending on experience and interview performance.

Qualified applicants will have their own tools and micrometers up to six inches (6") and possess knowledge of operating manual equipment while holding close tolerances. Must have knowledge of reciprocating compressor components, pump components, turbomachinery components. Must also be able to set up any of the machinery listed below with production output in mind.

Machinery used includes:

• Engine lathes
• Vertical turret lathes
• Horizontal boring mills
• Knee mills

The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all times. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe, efficient manner. Clear and concise communication skills, both orally and in writing, are also required.

All qualified applicants must be craft certified or possess the ability to pass a craft test, as well as pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and meet other qualifications as required.
