Summary/Objectives

We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist for a wide range of repair applications, as well as precision mechanical assembly and alignment work.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Operation of manual lathes and milling machines for a wide range of repair applications.
2. Precision mechanical assembly and alignment work.
3. Using micrometers and calipers to ensure mechanical fits.
4. Record measurements for repair documentation.
5. Read and interpret electrical schematics.
6. Ability to use the following tools: electrical assembly tools, multi-meter, test supply, forklift, and lugger.
7. Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment and compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. 5+ years of experience running manual lathes and milling machines.
3. Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers accurately.
4. Experience repairing components for rotating machinery.
5. Submerged arc welding and spray welding for journal repair.
6. Experience with electrical controls wiring.
7. Basic knowledge of Windows, Word, and Excel.
8. Basic reading, writing, and some advanced arithmetic skills required.
9. Must be mechanically inclined and have an aptitude for mechanical measurement.

4. Required use of proper safety equipment (e.g., steel-toed boots, safety glasses) and adherence to safety procedures.
