Responsibilities

  • Study blueprints, drawings, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, operational sequences, and setup requirements.
  • Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines including mills, lathes, and grinders.
  • Operate manual machining equipment to produce parts to specification.
  • Verify conformance of finished workpieces using appropriate measuring devices.
  • Fit and assemble machined components into complete assemblies; verify dimensions and alignment.
  • Install machined replacement parts in machinery and equipment; test units to ensure proper functionality and performance.
  • Review work orders and drawings to fabricate precision metal components.
  • Safely measure, cut, shear, bend, form, grind, file, sand, polish, sandblast, and test parts as required.
  • Use manual mills for drilling and milling operations as needed.
  • Use manual lathes for turning operations as needed.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company safety procedures and standards.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
