Job summary

The Vortex Companies, LLC delivers trenchless technologies and turnkey services to improve water infrastructure, and we are growing rapidly. This role supports sewer maintenance, inspection, and rehabilitation projects in a fast-paced, safety-first environment.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining equipment, performing field tasks, and following supervision. Candidates must handle physical work, work in various weather, and wear PPE as required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding work 8+ hours daily.
• Able to enter confined spaces.
• Lifts/moves up to 50 lbs.
• Works in varying weather conditions.
• Wears required PPE (hard hats, safety vest, work boots, goggles).

Manhole rehabilitation restores aging or damaged utility holes to optimal condition, solving infiltration, corrosion, and structural issues.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Operation and maintenance of all equipment
• Performs all work tasks required to support execution of sewer maintenance, inspection and/or rehabilitation pipeline tasks
• Makes routine decisions and takes direction from supervision.
• Able to work in the elements - extreme cold and heat for long duration.
• Can lift, push/pull, carry 50 lbs.

Skills and Specifications:

• Capable of following instructions and on-the-job training.
• Ability to operate a variety of simple and complex tools.

Education and Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, and twisting.
• Ability to enter confined spaces.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work in various weather conditions.
• Able to wear required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working as required by the job.

Salary Range

• $18.00-$22.00 hourly, depending on position qualifications, job related skills and experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday but can include shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.
