Job Summary
We are hiring a Safety Assistant to support daily safety tasks on-site. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates looking to begin or build their career in occupational health and safety. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required.
Expected start date: September 1, 2025
Responsibilities
Support the Safety Coordinator and Safety Officer with day-to-day safety operations
Help conduct routine safety checks and inspections
Assist in maintaining safety documents and records (e.g., attendance logs, SDS, reports)
Set up and maintain PPE supplies and safety signage on-site
Translate or interpret safety instructions during meetings or training sessions
Report any unsafe behavior or conditions to supervisors
Participate in safety drills and assist in emergency procedures
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in safety or engineering is a plus
Previous internship or work experience in industrial, construction, or engineering environment preferred
Detail-oriented and organized
Willingness to work in field conditions and follow safety guidelines
Fluent in both English and Mandarin
Familiarity with PPE and basic safety concepts is a plus
