Job description

ClassUp, an online one-on-one tutoring platform founded by Princeton University alumni, specializes in tutoring Math, English, and SAT. We are recruiting part-time SAT tutors who can teach in Mandarin Chinese, specifically for Chinese-speaking students.

Our platform features a custom-built online classroom and teaching content. We offer comprehensive pre-job training for beginners, ensuring you become a skilled tutor. Work hours and locations are flexible.

Pay:

• Starting from $28 per class

Responsibilities:

• Set your availability on ClassUp app (students will be matched based on your availability)
• Prepare lessons tailored to student needs (teaching content is available)
• Deliver one-on-one lessons according to the schedule
• Submit post-class feedback and provide monthly summaries for students

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. university
• Must have taken SAT and scored 720 or above in at least one subject
• Passion for education, patient, and supportive towards students
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese for teaching

Time Commitment:

• Minimum of 15 hours of availability per week
• Available between 3 PM - 9 PM EST on weekdays or weekends
• Able to commit to part-time work with ClassUp for at least one year

Technical Requirements:

• MacOS or Windows computer (minimum CPU requirement: 6000)
• Quiet, distraction-free teaching environment
• Fast and stable internet connection
