Job summary

Socket.dev seeks an AI Algorithm Engineer to develop production AI systems based on LLMs, VLMs, and multimodal models. You will design algorithms to understand signals across text, images, video, and audio, enabling scalable content understanding.

You will work on Agentic AI with ReAct, PlanAct, CodeAct, and multi-agent orchestration, bridging research with real-world products used by millions of users. Mandarin communication is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or above in CS/AI/ML or related field.
• Approximately 3–5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong understanding of LLMs, VLMs, multimodal models and agentic AI.
• Hands-on with prompt engineering, RAG, evaluation frameworks and production systems.
• Experience with ReAct, PlanAct, CodeAct and multi-agent architectures.
• Familiarity with SFT, RLHF/RL, and reward models.

Responsibilities

• Develop production AI systems based on LLMs, VLMs and multimodal models.
• Design algorithms for cross-modal understanding across text, images, video, and audio.
• Build scalable multimodal intelligence for content understanding and decision making.
• Develop production-grade Agent systems including ReAct, PlanAct and tool use.
• Participate in full model lifecycle: pre-training, SFT, RL, and post-training.
• Evaluate frontier research and translate it into scalable production work.
• Contribute to architecture, best practices, and potential publications.
