Job summary

This is a full-time remote position as an English‑Mandarin Experienced Medical Interpreter in a blended (OPI & VRI) environment. You will provide accurate consecutive interpretation between English and Mandarin in medical, social services, customer service, and financial settings, over the phone and via video.

Key requirements include remote interpretation experience in both languages, fluency in English and Mandarin, knowledge of medical terminology, relevant certification, and HIPAA

Job Description

This is a full-time remote position as an English-Mandarin Experienced Medical Interpreter in a Blended (OPI & VRI) environment. The medical interpreter will be responsible for providing accurate consecutive interpretation services over the phone and via video between English and Mandarin in medical, social services, customer service, and financial settings. The role involves facilitating communication between healthcare providers and patients to ensure effective understanding and care.

Qualifications

• Medical, customer service, social services, and financial calls interpretation skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Fluency in English and Mandarin
• Remote interpretation experience in both languages is mandatory
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Relevant certification in medical interpretation or a related field
• HIPAA compliance

Requirements

• Ethernet connection (must be connected directly to the router via cable); Wi‑Fi is not allowed
• Noise‑canceling microphone and USB headset. Only the following brands are accepted: Logitech H390, Jabra GN, Plantronics Blackwire C3220(Poly), and Microsoft Lifechat LX-6000
• Browser: Latest version of Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox
• Processor: i5or higher, 6th generation or newer
• Camera: Minimum resolution of 1080p
• Full-time availability, 5 days a week (2 days off)
