Job description

Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is a language service provider connecting bilingual and multilingual individuals with freelance interpreting or translating opportunities. Our mission is to bridge communication gaps through excellent and compassionate language services.

We seek bilingual and multilingual interpreters for a 1099 Independent Contractor role. As an interpreter, you contribute to society by supporting language access for all, regardless of English proficiency. You set your availability, act as your own boss, and accept appointments based on your schedule.

Appointments are available Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, but are not guaranteed and depend on demand.

Starting pay ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, based on language demand, experience, and availability.

Requirements

How to Qualify:

• Fluency in English and target language, with a strong understanding of idiomatic speech and cultural patterns
• Previous interpreting experience, preferably in medical, legal, or educational settings
• Professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Basic communication device operation skills
• Flexibility across different settings and environments
• Must be located in and authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship)
• High School Diploma or equivalent; interpreting certification preferred
