Job summary

Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company, is seeking a Mandarin-fluent patent litigator for a 3-6 month engagement. The role offers a hybrid setup with 2-3 days onsite in New York, NY or Newark, NJ and a full-time schedule at $100/hour.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of patent litigation experience in federal courts and PTAB matters, hold an active U.S. license, and be fluent in Mandarin to support Mandarin-language documents and Chinese-based clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of patent litigation experience in federal courts.
• Mandarin fluency required to handle Mandarin-language documents.
• Active license to practice law in the United States (NY/NJ preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of patent litigation in federal courts and before the PTAB
• Draft motions, briefs, and other filings
• Oversee discovery, including depositions and deposition preparation
• Support hearings, strategy discussions, and interactions with opposing counsel
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients on case strategy and execution
