Job summary

CrowdGen by Appen seeks native Mandarin Chinese (Traditional) speakers for a short, paid transcription project. Transcribers will work as Independent Contractors and complete tasks at their own pace.

You'll listen to Mandarin audio, transcribe accurately, segment according to guidelines, and ensure submissions meet quality standards before payout. Remote work from the United States is supported, with flexible scheduling and first-come, first-served task allocation.

Job description

Requirements

• Native Mandarin Chinese speaker
• 18 years of age or older
• Transcription/Linguistic/QA related experience.

Compensation

• Pay: $0.830 per unit, an estimated $9.96 per hour at 12 units
• Incomplete sessions will not be paid
• Transcriptions are reviewed for accuracy, guideline compliance, and signs of machine-generated or AI-assisted output before payout.

• The number of tasks available may vary from person to person
