• Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
• Fully responsible for overall financial performance of their department.
• Supervises employees in the Foundry Department, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning and evaluating.

Makes changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or work crew. Analyzes and resolves process problems, or assists employees in solving process problems. Maintains time and production records. Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials. Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. Sets up machines and equipment. Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel. Fully responsible for overall financial performance of their department. Supports foundry projects through staff management. Interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. Holds self and others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost effective results. Determines objectives, sets priorities, and delegates work. Behaves in an honest, fair, and ethical manner. Shows consistency in words and actions. Models high standards of ethics. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises employees in the Foundry Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, cross training, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
