Job summary

M&H Valve Company in the United States is seeking an experienced supervisor for the Foundry Department to lead daily production, ensure safety, and drive performance.

You will coordinate with multiple teams, enforce policies, set priorities, and deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but is not limited to the following: Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Interprets company policies to employees and enforces safety regulations. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Makes changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or work crew. Analyzes and resolves process problems, or assists employees in solving process problems. Maintains time and production records. Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials. Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. Sets up machines and equipment. Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel. Fully responsible for overall financial performance of their department. Supports foundry projects through staff management. Interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. Holds self and others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost effective results. Determines objectives, sets priorities, and delegates work. Behaves in an honest, fair, and ethical manner. Shows consistency in words and actions. Models high standards of ethics. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises employees in the Foundry Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, cross training, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
