Essential Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals, diagnosing diseases or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results.
• Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgeries and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide counsel on end-of-life care for pets.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and statutes.

Requirements/Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
• Appropriate state licensure.
• Eligibility for DEA/BNDD registration.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Professional and courteous demeanor with staff and clients.
• Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds; assistance required for heavier lifting.
