Nickerson Animal Health Center is seeking a Veterinary Medical Director to lead clinical care and team performance in a well-established AAHA-accredited hospital. The role supports growth into Managing Veterinarian leadership with mentorship and professional development, while maintaining high medical standards.

You will provide medical, surgical, and dental care, build client relationships, and collaborate with an experienced team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required.
• Eligible for Michigan veterinary licensure.
• Experience in soft tissue surgery and dentistry.
• Strong communication and leadership interest.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care for small animal patients.
• Mentor and support team members while helping foster a positive hospital culture.
• Partner with hospital leadership to maintain high medical standards and operational excellence.
• Grow into - or serve as - the Managing Veterinarian, with mentorship and leadership development provided.
• Collaborate with an experienced veterinary support team to deliver patient care.
