Animal Medical Centre of Greensboro, NC is seeking a Managing Veterinarian to lead our growing team. This role blends clinical medicine with leadership, offering opportunities to mentor staff, shape hospital culture, and advance patient care.

The position features a diverse caseload across wellness, internal medicine, surgery, urgent care, dentistry, and exotics, with flexible scheduling and a collaborative, compassionate workplace that prioritizes high-quality medicine and client relationships.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
• Appropriate state licensure.
• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
• Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; with assistance for heavier loads.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to detect disease or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret results.
• Advise owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide counsel around pet end-of-life care.
• Maintain patients’ medical records.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
