South Platte Veterinary Hospital, located in the Denver metro area, seeks an experienced Managing Veterinarian to lead a collaborative team while continuing to practice medicine. You will mentor fellow veterinarians, work with the practice manager, and influence hospital direction with support from Heartland Veterinary Partners.

You’ll join a close-knit team that values great medicine and strong communication.

Qualifikationen

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
• Appropriate state licensure or eligibility.
• DEA/BNDD eligibility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
• Ability to lift patients and assist with equipment up to 25 pounds; more with assistance.

Aufgaben

• Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose disease or injury.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret results.
• Advise owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide counsel around end-of-life care.
• Maintain medical records for patients.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and applicable laws.
