South Platte Veterinary Hospital in Sheridan, Colorado, seeks an experienced veterinarian to become Managing Veterinarian. You’ll maintain clinical medicine while mentoring a skilled team and guiding the hospital’s medical direction.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
• Appropriate state licensure.
• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift patients up to 25 pounds; assistance for heavier loads.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose diseases or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and collect/interpret results.
• Advise owners on preventive care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide end-of-life care counseling.
• Maintain patients' medical records.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and applicable laws.
