Centralia Animal Hospital is in Chester, Virginia, just south of Richmond. We are a full-service small animal hospital with an emphasis on preventative and wellness care. We also provide urgent care services to our community as well as an online pharmacy, wellness plans, and more. Dr. Shirley Bunting first opened our doors in 1994 with the “Family Pet Practice” approach, and we have kept it that way since. Our doctors do not practice medicine in their "own lanes", but instead value teamwork and often collaborate and share knowledge with each other throughout the day.

Countless Civil War battles were fought in Chester, and all over the region. We are located one hour away from Monticello in Charlottesville, the historic home designed and built by Thomas Jefferson.
