Job summary

A leading consulting firm is looking for an experienced Managing Scientist for their Ecological and Biological Sciences Practice in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for strategic business development and client networking, analyzing water resources and emerging chemicals, and preparing regulatory documents. A Ph.D. in a related field is required along with at least 7 years of experience. This position offers a salary range of $140,000-$172,000 per year with a strong focus on collaboration and personal development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience, with at least 4 years of direct consulting experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of emerging chemicals and plastics/microplastics in the environment.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support on existing projects in the Biological and Ecological Sciences Practice.
• Conduct analyses and prepare regulatory documents and expert reports.
• Develop professional status by authoring peer-reviewed publications.

Skills

Expert-level knowledge of emerging chemicals and plastics/microplastics in the environment

Strong understanding of scientific sampling methodologies

Proven experience in data analysis and modeling

Demonstrated ability in written and oral communications

Education
