Wheeler Law PLLC is seeking an experienced Managing Family Law Attorney to lead and grow our family law department in Phoenix while continuing to practice law. The role emphasizes advocacy, client service, and strategic leadership to scale the practice beyond traditional firm structures.

The candidate will mentor junior attorneys, guide complex cases, implement efficient workflows, and help drive the department's growth and technology adoption.

Qualifications

• Significant family law litigation experience.
• Experience leading a legal team or department.
• Proven ability to mentor junior attorneys and paraprofessionals.
• Comfort with adopting technology and innovative processes in a law practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of family law matters with emphasis on high-quality advocacy and client service.
• Mentor and develop junior family law attorneys and paraprofessionals.
• Provide strategic guidance on complex family law matters.
• Review pleadings, motions, discovery, and other substantive work product.
• Help establish and improve systems, workflows, and processes within the family law department.
• Contribute to hiring, training, and development of the family law team.
• Shape the vision and growth strategy of a rapidly expanding department.
