Job summary

Talanto in Boulder, CO, is seeking a Managing Consultant in its AI and Data practice to help utilities and energy providers evaluate energy efficiency, demand response, electrification, and decarbonization programs. You will design analytical approaches and oversee delivery teams across complex engagements.

You will mentor analysts, review methodologies, and translate results into actionable client insights while supporting business growth and thought leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree as specified in the requirements.
• 5+ years of experience in EM&V or energy programs.
• Experience leading evaluations of energy efficiency, demand response, electrification, or DER programs.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects, clients, budgets, and teams.
• Experience with Python, R, Snowflake, Databricks.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of impact analyses and analytics-based studies for utility programs.
• Lead teams of analysts and data scientists to deliver high-quality results.
• Perform hands-on analysis with large customer, program, billing, AMI, and operational datasets.
• Review methods, code, and findings for rigor and quality.
• Translate analytical results into actionable client insights and recommendations.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, client relationships, and deliverables.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to thought leadership and innovative evaluation approaches.
• Contribute to proposal development and business growth.
