Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Manage an editorial team, including setting professional goals, conducting regular performance feedback, and handling hiring and staffing decisions for full‑time staff.
  • Oversee budgets, production timelines, and contribute to the site’s leadership alongside the Editor in Chief and SVP, Editorial Strategy.
  • Oversee daily, monthly, and quarterly assignments for the NYLON team, use internal analytics, SEO tools, social insights, and trends to identify opportunities, and ensure coverage aligns with the site’s goals.
  • Provide strategic direction to editors on assignments, angles, and story structure; work collaboratively across departments to identify coverage opportunities.
  • Oversee planning, staffing, and coverage of live and breaking events across a wide range of topics; set the tone for vertical‑defining series, franchises, and special packages.
  • Collaborate with the executive team and HR on wider BDG‑wide initiatives and act as a main point of contact for Editorial Operations and Sales to fulfill business obligations.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of publishing, editorial content creation and distribution
  • Passion and interest in editorial content across NYLON’s coverage areas, including culture, style, and music
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of writers and editors
