Job summary

Dotdash Meredith’s Byrdie unit seeks an Associate Commerce Editor to craft and refine commerce content across beauty and fashion topics. You will analyze competitors, leverage marketplace data, and apply lab results to produce reliable buying guidance.

You’ll update lists, test products, and collaborate with editors to drive traffic and revenue while maintaining Byrdie’s voice and standards. This hybrid role supports growth and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of writing or editing experience at an online publisher, ideally in beauty and fashion.
  • Product enthusiast who spends time shopping and obsessing over purchases.
  • Passionate about beauty and fashion.
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-focused with strong editing, writing, and web content skills.
  • Strong copywriter capable of engaging headlines and blurbs while maintaining Byrdie voice, values, style, and audience focus.
  • Proven aptitude for communicating and collaborating with remote editorial workers and in-house team members.
  • Self-starter eager to work for a growing company.
  • College degree required.

  • Collaborate with editorial counterparts to curate and promote best content via newsletters, site landing pages, and social platforms.

Location & Schedule

Hybrid: 3 days in the office in NewYork; remote up to 2 days per week.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $62,400 – $75,000. Other compensation may include bonuses and long‑term incentives.
