Job summary

Our client, an undisclosed large alternative asset manager in New York, seeks a Managing Director of Valuations to lead the valuation of complex assets in a multi-asset portfolio. You will partner with Front-Office, Investment Professionals, Senior Managers and Risk Professionals to ensure accurate fair value determinations.

The role requires at least 12 years designing and reviewing valuation models, CPA/CFA credentials preferred, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 12+ years designing, editing and reviewing valuation models and other financial models.
• CPA and CFF or CFE preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with private equity, private debt and real estate assets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the valuation process for a $100+B portfolio of private equity, debt, fixes and real estate.
• Design and maintain valuation models for hard-to-value assets.
• Oversee governance, compliance, static analysis and stress-testing.
• Communicate valuation findings to clients, management and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in valuation.
