Job Details: As a pivotal leader in the organization, this role assumes comprehensive responsibility for all facets of operations across multiple plant locations. From overseeing the efficient functioning of production, maintenance, safety, shipping & receiving, sanitation, scheduling, quality, to driving continuous process improvement, this position plays a crucial role in ensuring the holistic success of our facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In addition to these core responsibilities, the incumbent will have ownership and/or responsibility for critical business metrics, including P&L, Return on Sales, Operations, and People Metrics. This underscores the significance of the role in not only operational efficiency but also in contributing to the financial health and workforce dynamics of our organization. The position involves motivating and guiding managers to enhance the skill levels of their teams, adeptly addressing issues related to the quality of incoming and outgoing goods and leveraging a keen eye for reviewing cost and performance data to identify areas in need of improvement. The execution of all capital improvements for designated facilities falls under the purview of this role, emphasizing a commitment to driving excellence and ensuring a positive impact on key financial and operational indicators. Within the broader context, the position's scope extends to providing guidance, leadership, and coaching to Plant Managers, and support groups across the division. With decision-making authority in the absence of the business unit Vice President, the role involves leading problem resolution, holding underperforming plants accountable, and motivating the leadership team to achieve both short and long-term goals. The responsibilities further encompass onboarding and training new plant managers, and senior production managers, identifying and delivering development opportunities for plant management, and overseeing special projects for the Business Unit. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of excellence, proactively addressing challenges, and contributing to our organization's overall success and growth through a multi-year strategy, directly impacting key financial and operational metrics.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Work Experience: 12-plus years of progressive experience in manufacturing; relevant food manufacturing experience a plus.

  • Supervisory: This role oversees 3‑4 plant managers.
  • Travel: Extensive travel and temporary relocation may be required.

  • Pay Range/Rate: $207,000.00 - $345,000.00.
  • Incentives: Annual Incentive Plan: Yes Long‑Term Incentive Plan: Yes.
