Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Managing Director to lead the operations, growth, and overall performance of our legal digital marketing division. This role carries full responsibility for revenue generation, client success, service delivery, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving growth in digital marketing, SaaS, or professional services—particularly in legal or highly regulated industries.

This is a senior leadership role with direct oversight of cross-functional departments and full P&L ownership. The Managing Director will report to the CEO and work closely with other members of the executive team.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute long-term strategic plans aligned with company goals.
  • Translate market trends and customer insights into business initiatives and service innovation.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion into adjacent service lines or verticals.
  • Oversee daily operations across departments, including marketing, client services, SEO/PPC, design, development, and onboarding.
  • Implement systems and processes that improve efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure accountability and consistency across the organization.
  • Own the division’s P&L, including revenue growth, gross margin, and operating profitability.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Manage pricing models, client acquisition strategies, and retention programs.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing leadership team across departments.
  • Foster a results-driven, collaborative culture with strong accountability.
  • Build organizational capacity through hiring, development, and performance management.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for strategic clients and partners.
  • Represent the company at industry events and in thought leadership initiatives.
  • Champion the voice of the customer in internal planning and service evolution.
Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ years of executive leadership in SaaS, digital marketing, or professional services.
  • Direct experience owning P&L and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong background in client operations, delivery, and performance management.
  • Experience working with law firms or legal-related organizations.
  • Financial literacy and ability to translate business strategy into operational execution.

Preferred:

  • Experience with SEO, paid media, lead generation, or marketing automation.
  • Familiarity with legal compliance and professional services workflows.
  • MBA or similar advanced degree.
