Role Description:

The Managing Director - Investments and Origination will be an integral member of the Evolution Credit Partners investment team and will be responsible for originating, developing, structuring and assessing investment opportunities across our two key investment strategies, Leveraged Finance and Working Capital Finance.This person will be responsible for lead coverage, relationship management, leadership of investment deal teams, and fundamental underwriting and credit analysis of investments on behalf of Evolution Credit Partners.

In this role, the Managing Director - Investments and Origination will interact daily with major investment banks, asset managers, private equity sponsors, insurance companies, corporates, as well as other capital providers to deliver flexible capital solutions across diverse industries. The Managing Director - Investments and Origination will work closely with the entire investment team to undertake and analyze effective fundamental credit research analysis and will work in partnership with the senior members of the Firm to assess credit transactions for our investment funds. Evolution Credit Partners is seeking an experienced Managing Director - Investments and Origination that is focused on deal origination, contributing to deal execution and underwriting, working across an entrepreneurial firm with the ability to have a meaningful impact on the direction of the Firm, and is looking to grow with the team over time. This role is based in New York, NY.

The role will entail the following:

• Source and execute underwriting investment opportunities for our funds across our capital solutions and working capital finance strategies
• Design and deliver flexible capital solutions to various types of borrowers including private equity sponsors, corporates, insurance companies, and other counterparties
• Calibrate and analyze in depth financing needs and structures for prospective corporate borrowers
• Seek solutions to deal structures and issues within the boundaries of our fund parameters
• Assess and negotiate terms related to credit facilities
• Interact extensively with financial sponsors, bank and asset management teams, outside counsel, industry sources, our internal investment team and other investment professionals in the industry
• Maintain strong relationships across the financial sponsor, investment bank, insurance company, commercial bank and asset manager sectors
• Support production of transaction reports and presentations for internal and external use
• Mentor and develop junior resources
• Provide support to the Managing Partners of the Firm to optimize the overall investment return and risk profile of the funds
• Adhere to investment process and operational standards of Evolution Credit Partners

Skills, Experience and Education:

• Vice President, Executive Director, or Managing Director with 10-15 years of experience in credit investing and underwriting at a tier 1 investment bank, commercial bank or investment manager
• Proven track record in deal origination and execution across credit cycles within private credit, trade finance/ working capital finance, direct lending, and/or leveraged finance
• Excellent credit skills demonstrated through prior relevant experience underwriting, structuring and executing investments across capital solutions and working capital finance
• Detailed and extensive knowledge of term sheets, commitment letters, fee letters, and other critical documentation used in credit facility underwriting
• Experience working with private equity sponsors on credit facilities, including direct negotiations with the sponsors
• Ability to direct the structuring of a transaction
• Motivated team player and flexible in approach with ability to work independently
• Flexible, responsive with keen attention to detail
• Open-minded thought process and intellectual honesty with an ability to dynamically adapt to coverage of different products and industries
