Job description

About the Role:

This is a rare opportunity to sit at the strategic center of ultra-high-net-worth families—advising across investment, estate, and generational planning with the trust and autonomy typically reserved for insiders. You’ll lead with rigor and insight, build enduring relationships, and help shape legacies that will outlast market cycles and leadership teams.

This is a role for the seasoned advisor who thrives at the intersection of strategy, complexity, and human capital. We’re looking for someone with the depth to manage dynamic portfolios and the emotional intelligence to navigate family dynamics. It’s demanding and deeply rewarding.

What You’ll Lead

Investment Strategy & Oversight

  • Build and execute tailored investment strategies across public, private, real estate, and alternative markets.
  • Lead diligence efforts for new opportunities with institutional-quality rigor.
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution with internal teams, external managers, and legal counsel.

Wealth & Estate Planning

  • Partner with attorneys and tax advisors to design integrated estate and philanthropic structures.
  • Guide clients through liquidity events, transitions, and succession planning.
  • Ensure long-term alignment between strategy and structure.

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary advisor to a small group of SFO families.
  • Drive regular family meetings, performance reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Anticipate needs, address challenges, and be a trusted thought partner in real time.

Governance & Next-Gen Development

  • Establish family governance frameworks to support unity, decision-making, and continuity.
  • Lead next-gen education initiatives—financial literacy, investment principles, family values that solve for legacy, not just returns.
  • Facilitate family retreats, quarterly summits and strategic offsites that drive clarity, confidence, and continuity.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Expertise

  • 10+ years in SFO/UHNW wealth management, family office advisory, and/or institutional investment roles.
  • Proven ability to manage complex portfolios and navigate private markets.
  • Experience in estate planning, tax strategy, and philanthropic structuring.

Credentials That Add Weight

  • CFP, CFA, CPA, JD/LLM, or MBA preferred.
  • Series 65 or 66 & 7 required.
  • Global perspective and comfort with cross-border structures a plus.

Leadership & Communication

  • Exceptional communication and relational skills—you build trust quickly and naturally.
  • High emotional intelligence—you read the room, navigate family dynamics, and lead with poise.
  • Strong project manager—you know how to execute flawlessly without losing sight of the big picture.

Why This Role?

  • High Impact, Low Bureaucracy – You’ll work directly with decision-makers and help shape multi-generational legacies.
  • Elite Client Base – Visionary founders, seasoned investors, and global family enterprises.
  • Room to Run – Our platform is designed for entrepreneurial advisors who want autonomy, influence, and growth.
  • Aligned Compensation – Competitive base + performance incentives that reward value creation.

We Have Excellent Benefits That Include

  • Performance-based bonuses as part of your overall compensation
  • Health, dental, vision, pet, life, and disability insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Leadership and skills training opportunities
  • Support for a positive work/life balance
  • Paid holidays and Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • PTO accrual increases with years of service
  • Extra perks like holiday savings programs, company events, and the chance to contribute to the future success of a growing company

If you’re looking for a high-trust, high-performance role where you can bring real strategy to the table—and be trusted to lead it—this could be your next chapter.
