Job Description

Truist is seeking a Managing Director to oversee Enterprise Risk Management, Credit Risk, and Operational Risk domains. The role involves validating risk assessment outcomes, leading independent risk-based audit assurance services, and managing audit teams to ensure effective coverage of risks associated with various business units.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct a comprehensive risk-based audit program to ensure high-quality, timely audit coverage and report results.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Senior and Executive Management to enhance risk management and internal controls.
• Advise on new systems, processes, and procedures, and participate in risk management committees.
• Set objectives for audit teams, monitor progress, and provide coaching and feedback.
• Stay updated on industry trends and integrate best practices into audit processes.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; 15+ years of relevant experience; professional certifications (CPA, CIA, CISA); strong leadership, communication, and industry knowledge.

Preferred: Experience in financial institutions, Master’s degree, completion of Graduate School of Banking.
