Redesign Health, Inc. seeks a Managing Director of New Ventures to back exceptional founders early, providing first institutional capital and strategic leverage through launch and beyond.

You will develop original investment theses in healthcare, attract top founders, and lead co-ideation through the Investment Committee to drive power-law outcomes. This role requires strong deal-making, a broad network across VC and healthcare, and the ability to translate theses into venture-scale concepts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred, with a record of high academic achievement.
• 10+ years of experience with venture capital, company building, or early-stage investing.
• Deep healthcare domain expertise with the ability to develop original investment theses across care delivery, health tech, and healthcare services.
• Established network across the venture capital, healthcare operator, and startup ecosystems with a demonstrated ability to source and attract exceptional founding prospects.
• Fluency in business model analysis, investment thesis development, and financial modeling.
• Track record of end-to-end ownership—leading work from thesis to founder to investment decision with minimal oversight.
• Deep connectivity to startup ecosystem with a proven ability to identify and attract generational founders.

Responsibilities

• Identify white space in healthcare where AI-native businesses can create outsized outcomes and develop high-conviction investment theses.
• Find top 1% founders and convince them Redesign is the best path to building a healthcare company.
• Lead collaboration during diligence to transform themes into venture-scale concepts.
• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of founders through VC networks and healthcare ecosystems.
• Interface between portfolio founders and Redesign’s platform, delivering domain expertise and governance insight.
