Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Manager-Healthcare to join the Buildings Practice. You will lead complex healthcare projects, manage budgets and schedules, and mentor project teams, ensuring design intent and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Architecture or related field, a professional license, and 10+ years of experience in healthcare/project management. Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp is preferred.

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager-Healthcare to join our Healthcare Buildings Practice for our Architecture team. As a senior contributor on our professional Buildings team, you will work independently to assist clients through the planning and creation of fiscally responsible, cutting-edge designs. Your experience ensures that you are quite familiar with construction plans, specifications, estimates and building codes. You will be innovating and creating new prototypes designed with sustainable products with green architecture sensibility as your goals. You will lead the development of integrated design proposals, develop and manage integrated work plans, manage project financials, and coordinate with clients, while leading and mentoring others and collaborating with team members to contribute to the final deliverables as required under instruction from the Project Leader.

Your key responsibilities include managing complex tasks on medium-to-large-size projects, planning, organizing, and directing the work throughout the life of the project to successfully deliver the project to the client, keeping the Principal in Charge informed of progress on project expectations, deadlines, and deliverables, leading the client and project team to assure that the project design meets the client budget, schedule, program, and design intent, assisting in the negotiation and development of project agreements, developing and managing project budget, schedule, and overall work plan to realize target financial performance, mentoring Assistant Project Managers and motivating project teams, assuring that Project Management Framework tasks are timely completed and properly documented, leading project coordination and owner/site meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor and sub-contractors, managing and tracking change orders, applications for payment by contractors and other contractual modifications impacting budget and schedule, working with Operations Manager in determining project staffing needs and recommending personnel, and directing client invoicing and effectively managing collections.

Your capabilities and credentials include being capable of simultaneously supporting one or more Principal's in Charge on multiple projects, having a thorough understanding of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, building construction systems, means and methods, materials, and industry associated standards, taking direction well, however, proactively taking appropriate action without requiring continued direction, effectively managing multiple deadlines and priorities, being a team player with the client, entire project team and contractor, being an effective negotiator and communicator, possessing understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Newforma; prefer experience with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and having a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Education and experience required include a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field, license required (any state), minimum of 10 years of experience, LEED Green Associate or LEED AP a plus. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
