Job Details

The Managing Consultant – Supply Chain sits within Accelerate Pharmacy Solutions and supports Supply Chain Consulting within the Practice Management Solutions portfolio. The Managing Consultant reports directly to the Sr. Director – Practice Management Solutions. This associate is responsible for delivering essential components of client service engagements, identifying new business opportunities within existing clients, and participating in various aspects of practice development, as assigned. This role is fully remote; however, travel will be required, up to approximately 40%, and will vary depending upon business needs and project assignments. Travel may include current and prospective client sites, internal and external meetings, conferences, and other business-related assignments.

Responsibilities:

  1. Leads, plans, and manage scope for multiple client engagements, ensuring quality, cost and delivery requirements are achieved; structures deliverable content and develops recommendations.
  2. Leads external client meetings and manages overall service delivery and strategy.
  3. Maintains a focus towards expanding delivery of existing services within the portfolio, working with key partners to ensure evolving solutions requirements are achieved.
  4. Identifies, escalates, and resolves client engagement issues and risks as needed.
  5. Documents and communicates associate performance feedback; mentors staff.
  6. Own delivery and development of content for client status meetings and milestone presentations.
  7. Support solution sales team with delivery and development of client presentations and proposals for sales pipeline.
  8. Identifies and/or develops service add-on opportunities within existing clients to more fully meet client needs and expectations.
  9. Builds trusting relationships with clients and key internal and external business partners.
  10. Contributes to new and or enhanced methods, approaches and tools for delivering on existing solutions in a more efficient and effective manner.
  11. Contributes to publications and leads speaking engagements that build awareness of services to the broader market.
  12. Actively supports Cencora recruiting efforts.
  13. Provide clear and concise recommendations to internal and external clients under tight deadlines while adapting to shifting priorities or data.
  14. Performs related duties as assigned.

Education:

An advanced degree is required, such as a PharmD, MBA, MHA, or MS. Candidates should have a minimum of 7–10 years of experience in a hospital or health system setting, with at least 3 years in a managerial, director, or strategy role, or a minimum of 5–8 years in a supervisory or project lead consulting role, ideally within the healthcare sector. Relevant experience and/or certification in Lean Six Sigma, or supply chain management is highly preferred.

Skills:

  1. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of problem solving, performance improvement, process implementation, and change management.
  2. Pharmacy consulting role, will require specific primary and advanced health degree(s), such as Pharmacy, etc.
  3. Deep understanding of pharmacy financials and accounting highly desirable, including pharmacy purchasing optimization.
  4. Ability to manipulate data in Excel and build branded client-facing business presentations.
  5. Experience developing and implementing pharmacy programs which provide clinical or financial benefit to the client institution.

Full time Salary Range* $121,000 - 186,230

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
