Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Data Engineer in Dallas to design and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or Palantir Foundry. You will transform data for analytics, collaborate with clients, and support cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.

You will also develop dashboards with Power BI or Tableau, participate in testing and deployment, and learn modern data engineering practices across industries to deliver reliable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 7-12 years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics, or related technical roles.
• Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python or another scripting language.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and modern data tools such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Familiarity with cloud environments including AWS, Azure, Palantir Foundry, or similar, and data modeling concepts.
• Understanding of data integration, quality, and performance tuning principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively on fast-paced projects with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in the listed field.
• Ability to legally work in the US without sponsorship.
• Experience with Apache Airflow, dbt, or Palantir Foundry.
• Familiarity with Spark, Kafka, or Redshift.
• Exposure to Power BI or Tableau.
• Certifications in cloud platforms or data engineering technologies.
• Previous consulting firm experience.
