Job summary

Hecht Family Law is seeking a Senior Family Law Attorney in Georgia who will lead a team and develop into the Managing Attorney role, guiding complex divorce and custody matters with integrity and strategic insight.

You will mentor peers, manage disparities, and partner with firm leadership to drive growth while maintaining top-tier client service and adherence to core values.

Qualifications

• JD and Georgia Bar license in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of current, active Georgia family law experience (divorce, custody, support, modifications, contempt).
• Proven track record of courtroom success and strong client relationships.
• Experience in a Managing Attorney role, having led a team of at least 4 attorneys.
• Leadership instincts, organizational strength, and excellent communication.
• High professional integrity, emotional intelligence, and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee complex divorce and custody matters and lead your team of attorneys and paralegals.
• Collaborate with Managing Partner on firm operations and growth in a leadership-track role.
• Lead case strategy meetings and reviews for optimal results.
• Mentor and support attorneys on your team.
• Represent clients in mediations, hearings, and trials with professionalism and integrity.
• Uphold the firm’s culture, core values, and Excellence Operating Procedures daily.

The Opportunity

Compensation: $150,000 – $225,000+ including performance and leadership bonuses

Responsibilities

• In the Managing Family Law Attorney Role
• You’ll oversee complex divorce and custody matters, lead your team of attorneys and paralegals, and collaborate directly with the Managing Partner on firm operations and growth. This is a true leadership-track role for an attorney who wants to build, lead, and leave a legacy in family law.
• What You’ll Do
• Handle and oversee complex family law cases from intake through resolution.
• Lead case strategy meetings and “hot case” reviews for optimal results.
• Mentor and support the other attorneys on your team.
• Partner with firm leadership to drive team growth, performance, and excellence.
• Represent clients in mediations, hearings, and trials with professionalism and integrity.
• Uphold the firm’s culture, core values, and Excellence Operating Procedures (EOP) daily.
