Alpha Alternatives, part of Alpha Group, is seeking a Manager – Functional Workstream Lead (Workday Financials) for a US-based, primarily remote role. Lead functional discovery, design, configuration, and delivery for Workday Financials workstreams, combining hands-on configuration with client leadership and delivery oversight.

The role requires 5+ years of Workday Financials implementation experience, strong design and workshop skills, and ability to coordinate across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Workday Financials implementation experience with multiple end-to-end delivery cycles.
• Strong hands-on configuration capability and ownership of a Workday Financials workstream.
• Strong design, documentation, workshop facilitation, testing, and planning skills.
• Ability to communicate with finance stakeholders and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Functional Ownership: Own configuration design and implementation for core Workday Financials capabilities.
• Discovery & Workshops: Lead functional discovery, design, and validation workshops.
• Hands-on Configuration: Drive complex configuration activities including FDM and security requirements.
• Client Management: Develop relationships and manage day-to-day workstream priorities and deadlines.
• Data, Testing & Cutover: Coordinate data mapping, testing, UAT, and deployment readiness.
• Quality Review: Review deliverables for consistency with design and best practices.
• Cross-Workstream Coordination: Coordinate with adjacent teams to manage dependencies.
• Innovation & Team Development: Stay current on Workday capabilities and mentor juniors.
