You are:

An accomplished consultant who has supported the Wealth Management industry ecosystem (Investment Products and Solutions, Client and Advisor Experience, Platforms and Technology, Front/Middle/Back Operations, Risk and Regulatory). You are excited to leverage your experience to transform Financial Services organizations; working across the C-suite to capitalize on disruption, enable competitiveness, and drive growth and profitability via continuous innovation. This is an in-office hybrid role located in our New York or Boston office.

The work:

  1. Support the day-to-day execution of consulting projects and ensuring successful delivery of client requirements within the scope of the engagement.
  2. Own the project planning and process management and communicate progress to clients and A&M leadership.
  3. Drive development of the content, either directly or by providing guidance to the consulting team (for example, by sharing ideas, frameworks or providing input on research and analysis).
  4. Manage the client relationship on a day-to-day basis.
  5. Support multiple client and stakeholder relationships and networking within the client organization in order to understand their needs and help to influence the client agenda.
  6. Contribute to the development of intellectual property within the Financial Services Industry including improving methodologies, tools, techniques and developing new ideas and approaches.
  7. Support business development efforts, building understanding of how to architect and position proposals and statements of work.
  8. Engage with Wealth Management macro industry trends, competitive dynamics and disruptors (fintech, digital, AI, etc.) to generate thought leadership and innovative new ideas to respond to evolving industry challenges.
  9. Provide mentorship and coaching to Consultants and Analysts to help develop their consulting skills, including sharing knowledge and experience, giving frequent feedback, and creating opportunities for team members to learn and grow.

Here’s what you need:

  1. Minimum 5 years strategy consulting experience from a competitor consulting organization supporting Wealth Management, FIG Investment Banking, Private Equity with one or more of the following areas:
  2. Growth Strategy and Business Model Transformation
  3. Performance Improvement/Cost Re-engineering
  4. Pricing and Revenue Optimization
  5. Data, Platform and Technology Modernization
  6. Innovation, Data & Analytics, Digital and AI
  7. Outstanding problem-solving acumen leveraging strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; proven ability to derive insights from large volumes of unstructured information to solve complex, ambiguous problems.
  8. Ability to deliver impactful results from ideation to execution by working independently and collaborating within cross-functional teams across multiple, concurrent projects.
  9. Exceptional Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel skills.
  10. Bachelor’s Degree.
  11. Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment.
  12. Proven experience leading projects and/or teams.
  13. Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  14. You’ve got an MBA after your name or another type of advanced degree.

Applicants must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States.

The salary range is $135,000-$190,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance.

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings’ fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal.
