Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. seeks a Manager of Visual Merchandising to develop and execute seasonal floorsets, floorplans, and window displays that align with Brand direction and business goals.

You will partner with Merchandising, Planning, Store Operations, and field teams to ensure compelling presentations across locations. You will train associates, maintain visual standards, and roll out visual materials to the field while supporting new store planning and visual communication.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years corporate Visual Merchandising experience or related area.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excel, Illustrator & Quark knowledge.
  • Strong business acumen in a corporate retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the visual strategy and direction for retail merchandising and marketing.
  • Manage floorset product presentation in the corporate prototype store.
  • Ensure store merchandising supports window marketing for floorset changes.
  • Coordinate rollout of visual materials to field teams.
  • Partner with Marketing to create compelling window displays.
  • Support store ranking program and Visual and Inventory allocation tool.
  • Communicate retail visual direction across teams.
  • Provide direction and support to visual merchandising partners.
  • Ensure new store floorplans align with brand strategy and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Planning on product placement for selling opportunities.
  • Maintain Visual Standards Binder updates.
  • Train new associates on Visual merchandising standards.
  • Collaborate with District teams to execute plans per corporate direction.
  • Create floorplan direction for all seasons.
  • Communicate weekly merchandising updates to RM, DM, and Stores.
  • Support floorplan merchandising strategies and meetings.

About the Team

The Visual Merchandising team is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving results through visual storytelling. We collaborate closely with Marketing, Merchandising, Store Operations, and Field teams to create consistent, impactful presentations across all locations.

About the Role

As the Manager of Visual Merchandising, you will support the development and execution of seasonal floorsets, floorplans, window displays, fixture programs, and visual standards that support both the customer experience and business goals. You will partner with Merchandising, Planning, Store Operations, and field teams to ensure store presentations are compelling and aligned with Brand direction. You will support new store planning, visual communication, field execution, and training on visual standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, collaborative visual merchant who is passionate about product storytelling and creating inspiring customer experiences.

  • Manage floorset product presentation in the corporate prototype store

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time

  • Ability to work in office and perform in corporate environment
Location

This role is based onsite in our Portland, OR office.
