The Manager, Visual Design leads an in-house visual design team, shaping how complex business objectives are expressed through clear, compelling visual storytelling. This role delivers high-level art direction, mentors designers, and helps ensure the visual design practice stays current with evolving technologies and industry trends.
Responsibilities
- Guide the ongoing development of the brand system and its defining assets, including oversight of the brand guidelines site.
- Provide high-level art direction across all visual assets to maintain brand consistency and ensure high-quality, polished aesthetic execution.
- Lead the visual design practice with a future-forward approach by identifying and implementing emerging skill sets and tools such as AI-assisted design, interactive media, and new collaboration platforms.
- Supervise and mentor a team of visual designers (individual contributors), building a culture centered on continuous learning, inspiration, and accountability.
- Own capacity and capability planning by strategically matching team strengths to the evolving needs of the organization and aligning with the pipeline of projects.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Line of Business stakeholders by translating business requirements into visual strategies that drive results.
- Collaborate with shared service teams including copywriting, content, video, and email to support unified, integrated campaign delivery.
- Provide hands-on design direction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in design or a related field plus 4 years of experience, or a High School diploma plus 8 years of visual design experience.
- 5 years of management experience.
- Provide a diverse demo reel showing mastery of high-end production value and the ability to create effective, quick-turn marketing content.
- Maintain a strong, multi-faceted portfolio demonstrating a proven record of leading multi-channel campaigns with a focus on sophisticated corporate branding.
- Ability to balance business objectives with a rigorous, uncompromising focus on pixel-perfect detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, including the ability to translate design concepts for creative teams and ROI considerations for business stakeholders.
- Expert command of Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma, with understanding of how design connects with marketing automation and project management tools.

Salary
USD 132,465 - 165,580 per year
