Job summary

Omnicom is seeking a Manager, Visa & Immigration to oversee the U.S. immigration program and deliver a compliant, employee-focused experience.

You will manage the end-to-end lifecycle for nonimmigrant visas (H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3, O-1) and permanent residence sponsorship, coordinate with external counsel, and partner with HR, payroll and Legal to ensure timely filings and risk mitigation.   • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing U.S. business immigration matters.
  • Strong knowledge of non-immigrant visas, permanent residence sponsorship and compliance.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders, HR and external counsel.
  • Knowledge of Public Access Files, I-9, recordkeeping and audits.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of U.S. employment-based immigration matters including nonimmigrant visas and permanent residence sponsorship.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on U.S. immigration matters for employees, managers, HR, and leadership.
  • Partner with external immigration counsel for strategy, filings and options.
  • Lead immigration case management from initiation to completion with compliance.
  • Evaluate complex immigration situations and advise on risk mitigation.
  • Develop and improve immigration processes, workflows and documentation.
  • Monitor visa expirations, deadlines and milestones, identifying risks early.
  • Ensure compliance with Public Access Files, audits and policy requirements.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Finance, HR, Talent Acquisition and Legal for alignment.
  • Manage budgeting, invoicing and vendor relationships for immigration needs.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions requiring immigration impact assessments.
  • Educate stakeholders through training and communications on policy changes.

Essential Functions
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of U.S. employment-based immigration matters, including nonimmigrant visa classifications (H-1B, L-1A/B, TN, E-3, O-1, F-1, etc.) and permanent residence sponsorship, ensuring timely, compliant, and employee-focused case management.
  • Serve as the primary internal subject matter expert on U.S. immigration matters, providing guidance and recommendations to employees, managers, HR, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders.
  • Partner with external immigration counsel to develop case strategy, assess immigration options, and ensure timely and compliant filings.
  • Lead immigration case management activities from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to internal policies, government regulations, and service standards.
  • Evaluate and advise on complex immigration situations, including work authorization, employee transfers, travel considerations, and immigration risk mitigation.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve immigration processes, workflows, and documentation standards to enhance efficiency, consistency, and employee experience.
  • Track and monitor visa expirations, work authorization deadlines, and permanent residence milestones, proactively identifying risks and ensuring timely action.
  • Maintain oversight of immigration compliance requirements, including Public Access Files, government audits, recordkeeping obligations, and corporate immigration policies.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Finance, HR, Talent Acquisition, and Legal to ensure alignment and compliance across immigration-related processes.
  • Manage immigration-related budgeting activities, including forecasting, invoice review, expense tracking, and vendor management.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and other business initiatives requiring immigration expertise and employee impact assessments.
  • Drive stakeholder education and awareness through training, communications, and consultation on immigration policies, procedures, and regulatory developments.
Education, Skills And Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing U.S. business immigration matters, either in-house or with a leading immigration law firm.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment-based immigration programs, including non-immigrant visas, permanent residence sponsorship, prevailing wage processes, labor certification, and immigration compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage a high-volume immigration caseload while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience partnering with senior business leaders, HR teams, and external counsel to provide immigration guidance and solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of immigration compliance requirements, including Public Access Files, I-9 considerations, document retention, and audit preparedness.
  • Proven ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement scalable solutions.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex immigration concepts into practical business guidance.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multinational, and matrixed environment.
  • Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with HRIS and immigration case management systems, including Workday.
US Salary Range

$90,000 - $100,000 USD
