CVS Health is seeking a Group Medicare Underwriter to perform complex underwriting analysis and risk assessment for existing and prospective Medicare Advantage customers. You will partner with sales and management teams to drive growth through pricing strategies and consultative support.

Responsibilities include calculating group rates, evaluating benefit designs, and communicating rate recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years underwriting experience with pricing methodologies.
• Group Medicare underwriting experience or Fully Insured underwriting experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively partner with sales teams, account management, and underwriting leadership.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business applications.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex financial and underwriting concepts to diverse audiences.

What You'll Do

Perform underwriting analysis and risk assessment for existing Group Medicare Advantage customers. Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of underwriting experience, including pricing methodologies and funding arrangements.
• Group Medicare underwriting experience OR Fully Insured underwriting experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively partner with sales teams, account management, and underwriting leadership.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business applications.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex financial and underwriting concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience underwriting Group Medicare Advantage products.
• Experience supporting large employer group clients.
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare insurance pricing and risk assessment.
• Experience presenting underwriting recommendations to brokers, consultants, and customers.

Hartford, CT area candidates are strongly preferred; however, qualified remote candidates located anywhere in the United States will be considered. This position is not eligible for employment sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $66,330.00 - $145,860.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
