Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior unclaimed property consulting leader in Atlanta to manage complex engagements, oversee budgets, and mentor staff. You will serve as the primary client contact for our key accounts, directing compliance reporting, risk assessments, and remediation efforts.

You will also lead discussions with clients and state administrators, drive business development, and expand service capacity by leveraging data analytics and automation to improve delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in unclaimed property, SALT, accounting, consulting, audit, or regulatory compliance
• Strong project management and client relationship skills
• Experience leading teams and managing multiple concurrent engagements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Preferred: Direct unclaimed property consulting experience
• Preferred: Experience managing audit defense and voluntary disclosure engagements
• Preferred: CPA, CMI, JD, MST, MBA, or similar professional credential
• Preferred: Public accounting or consulting experience

Responsibilities

• Manage unclaimed property consulting engagements, including compliance reporting, audit defense, VDAs, risk assessments, and remediation projects
• Serve as a primary client contact and trusted advisor for assigned engagements
• Review technical analyses, workpapers, reports, and client deliverables
• Lead discussions with clients, state administrators, and third-party auditors
• Supervise, mentor, and develop associates and senior associates
• Manage engagement budgets, staffing, timelines, and utilization
• Support business development through proposals, presentations, networking, and cross-selling opportunities
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology, automation, and data analytics to improve service delivery
• Expand client service capacity and engagement management resources
• Improve staff development and supervision within the UPES practice
• Support revenue growth through enhanced client service and business development efforts
• Strengthen technical leadership and project execution across the practice
