Job summary

Cemex US is seeking a Manager to lead and implement Cemex’s Third Party Truck Management Strategy, building long-term carrier relationships and performance programs that align with health, safety, service, and cost priorities. You will oversee all trucking initiatives, drive CO2 emissions monitoring, and ensure compliance and risk management across the supplier network.

This role emphasizes market intelligence, data analytics, and leadership of TMS-driven improvements to optimize transportation

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in Transportation or Supply Chain roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Management, Procurement or Engineering.
  • Bulk truck Transportation market knowledge.
  • End-to-end supply chain processes proficiency.
  • Ability to translate transportation requirements into solutions.
  • End-to-End SCM concepts understanding.
  • Strong analytical data skills.
  • Knowledge in SAP, TMS, and analytical tools.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Carrier RFQ’s, selection and vetting process.
  • Manage Carrier Strategic Route Guide and zero-cost based reporting.
  • Develop and monitor Carrier Scorecards (service, cost, safety).
  • Gather market intelligence to drive RFQ decisions and best practices.
  • Responsible for developing and monitoring CO₂ emissions for 3rd-party carriers.
  • Lead best-practice utilization of the Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Implement Freight Payment Audit Solutions to reduce risk.

Job Summary

As a Manager, implement and manage Cemex’s Third Party Truck Management Strategy and center‑led management. Utilize a market‑focused approach that enables Cemex to build long‑term carrier relationships, collaboration and performance management programs that support the supply chain strategic priorities for health & safety, service and quality, cost and cash management, sustainability, compliance and people and talent development. Oversee all trucking‑related initiatives and programs related to sustainability, compliance and risk management.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage Carrier RFQ’s, selection and vetting process.
  • Manage Carrier Strategic Route Guide and zero‑cost based reporting.

Qualifications
  • 10 or more years of experience in Transportation and or Supply Chain related roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Management, Procurement or Engineering.
  • Bulk truck Transportation market and processes knowledge.
  • End‑to‑end supply chain processes proficiency.
  • Ability to understand transportation requirements and translate them into solutions.
  • Ability to apply End‑to‑End Supply Chain concepts.
  • Ability to manage data and develop concepts and information (strong analytical skills).
  • Knowledge in SAP, TMS, and Analytical tools (i.e. PowerBI, Tableau, QlikSense).
  • APIC’s certification or SCOR knowledge (a plus).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) (a plus).

  • Transportation and Carrier management.
  • End‑to‑end transportation processes.
  • Ability to manage data and develop concepts and information (strong analytical skills).
  • SAP, Transportation Management Systems, analytical tools.
Working Conditions
  • Capable of working in an office environment.
  • Capable of working extended hours as needed.
  • Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods.
Physical Requirements
  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a lesser degree.
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Requires regular communication (talk and hear).
