Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a dynamic Transfer Pricing Manager to join our growing International Tax team in either Boston or New York. You will lead engagements from planning to delivery, manage budgets, and mentor staff on TP projects.

The role requires five years of TP experience, CPA/JD/EA or equivalent, and strong US GAAP knowledge. Travel to client sites will be required as part of your responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
  • Requires CPA, JD, EA or alternate approved certification.
  • Requires a minimum of five (5) years of progressive tax and transfer pricing experience in public accounting, consulting, internal roles, or academia.
  • Experience in strategic transfer pricing studies, financial statements analysis, valuations, econometrics, or related analyses.
  • Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP.
  • Excellent managerial, organizational, project management, analytical and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to local client sites.

Responsibilities

  • Run client engagements from start to finish, including planning, execution, directing, and budgeting for tax and transfer pricing projects.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff on transfer pricing projects; assess performance for engagement reviews.
  • Evaluate intercompany transfers of goods, intangibles, services, and loans; perform financial analyses and benchmarking.
  • Prepare and analyze financial and economic data for tax and regulatory compliance using Word, Excel, and statistics packages.
  • Review GAAP financial statements and ensure accuracy for reporting.
  • Interact with client management to gather information, resolve TP issues, and propose process improvements.
  • Assist in business development and go-to-market activities.

RSM is looking for a dynamic Transfer Pricing Manager to join our growing International Tax team in either Boston or New York.

In your role, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Run client engagements from start to finish, which includes planning, executing, directing, and completing tax and transfer pricing projects and managing to budget.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff on tax and transfer pricing projects and assess performance of staff for engagement reviews; perform in-charge role as needed.
  • Evaluate and advise clients on intercompany transfers of tangible goods, intangible property, services, and loans and conduct financial and economic analyses of multinational and domestic corporations, industry and market research, economic valuations, comparative financial benchmarking, and report documentation.
  • Prepare and analyze financial and economic data for tax and regulatory compliance using MS Word, Excel, and various statistical sampling packages.
  • Review and analyze GAAP financial statements.
  • Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve tax- and transfer pricing-related problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
  • Assist in the business development and go-to-market activities.
Basic Qualifications
  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
  • Requires CPA, JD, EA or alternate approved certification.
  • Requires a minimum of five (5) years of progressive tax and transfer pricing experience in public accounting, consulting, internal roles, or academia.
  • Experience in several of the following areas: strategic transfer pricing studies, financial statements analysis, valuations, quantitative and competitive analysis, statistical sampling and econometrics, strategy evaluation, and/or operational performance analysis.
  • Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP.
  • Strong research and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, tax software and technology and transfer pricing databases and tools.
  • Excellent managerial, organizational, project management, analytical and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to local client sites.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Foreign language skills a plus – Spanish, Japanese, Chinese.
  • Master's degree or PHD a plus.

Compensation Range: $107,500 - $215,600. Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
