The opportunity

As a Manager in Transaction Diligence (TD), you will work with experienced due diligence professionals, learning and developing skills to perform due diligence across various situations and sectors. You will typically work as part of a broader cross-service line team on projects.

As your career progresses at EY, you will have opportunities to handle more complex transactions, lead teams, build client relationships, and take on broader roles within our business.

Your key responsibilities:

• Assist clients in achieving their strategic goals, whether through asset acquisitions or divestments.
• Advise clients during the due diligence process to identify key value drivers and challenge assumptions about future performance.
• Collaborate with other EY service teams to provide integrated client solutions.
• Potentially work on cross-border assignments in collaboration with EY offices worldwide.

Skills and attributes for success

• Analyze historical and pro forma financial data to assess trends impacting cash flow and deal valuation.
• Conduct industry and company research using online tools and public information.
• Research technical accounting issues to evaluate their implications on transaction valuation and structuring.
• Prepare reports and schedules for clients and other stakeholders.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with client personnel.

To qualify for the role you must have

• A bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for a Senior Associate role.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and business acumen.
• A passion for helping clients reach their potential.
• Ability to analyze financial and non-financial information to form conclusions.
• Familiarity with accounting principles, including IFRS.
• Good presentation skills; prior audit experience is advantageous.
• Strong data analysis and critical thinking skills, with proficiency in MS Excel.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience in transactions or auditing.
• Client-facing experience from a professional services background.
