Western Governors University is seeking a Training & Development Manager to drive institutional values through leadership development and targeted training aligned with the university's mission. The role partners with Financial Aid leadership to identify development needs, design effective programs, and ensure delivery of quality training.
You will lead a team of training professionals, oversee curriculum development, and measure impact on key business indicators.
The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

The Training & Development Manager will help drive institutional values and philosophy through training and leadership development that is strategically linked to the University's mission and beliefs. The position works with the Financial Aid Leadership team to identify and address employee and leadership development needs. The position is responsible for ensuring effective training programs are in place to enable the achievement of desired business results. Training programs focus on a variety of topics including company culture, values, competencies, and management or leadership principles. The position conducts needs assessments and designs and develops training programs while facilitating the delivery of both custom and formalized training programs. The Training & Development Manager also oversees other training professionals to ensure day‑to‑day operations remain efficient and effective.
Bachelor's degree in a related field (Finance, Business, Education)
Experience in lieu of education: An equivalent combination of training, experience, credentials, or accomplishments demonstrating the ability to perform the essential functions of this job may substitute for education degree requirements.
Some travel required for conferences or training. This position requires occasional travel of up to 20%, including required attendance at designated company summits (typically one to two per year). Additional travel may include conferences, visits to company locations, and other business‑related events as needed. Additional travel may be assigned as needed to support business requirements.
